Prurée-Boudin syndrome

Prurée-Boudin syndrome is a rare skin condition characterized by an intense feeling of itching and the appearance of multiple small, purple or brownish, nail-like structures called hyperkeratotic papules, typically on the palms and soles. These lesions result from abnormal skin cell growth and are often associated with underlying conditions like lichenoid diseases. While the exact cause is unknown, it primarily presents with persistent itching and the formation of these distinctive small plaques, leading to discomfort and cosmetic concerns. Diagnosis involves clinical examination and sometimes skin biopsies, with treatment aimed at managing symptoms and underlying causes.
