Proxy Editing

Proxy editing is a technique used in video production where a lower-resolution or simplified version of your original footage (called a "proxy") is used during editing. This makes the editing process faster and smoother, especially with large or high-quality files that can slow down your computer. Once you've finished editing with the proxies, the software switches back to the original high-resolution files for final rendering and exporting. Essentially, proxy editing streamlines workflow by allowing you to edit efficiently without sacrificing quality in the final product.
