Proximity Sensors

Proximity sensors are devices that detect the presence or absence of nearby objects without physical contact. They work using different principles such as electromagnetic fields, infrared light, or ultrasound. For example, in smartphones, infrared proximity sensors detect when you hold the phone to your ear to turn off the screen, while in automatic doors, sensors sense your movement to open as you approach. These sensors improve convenience and safety by providing real-time detection and response capabilities in various applications, ranging from consumer electronics to industrial automation.
