Protocolo de Kyoto
The Kyoto Protocol is an international agreement adopted in 1997 to combat climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It set binding targets for developed countries to cut emissions and outlined measures to achieve these goals, such as improving energy efficiency and using cleaner energy sources. The goal was to limit the rise in global temperatures and mitigate environmental damage. While it encouraged cooperation, some countries did not meet their targets, and recent years have seen efforts shift toward more inclusive agreements like the Paris Accord.
