Prosthetic failure

Prosthetic failure occurs when a prosthetic limb or device stops functioning properly or becomes unusable. This can happen due to mechanical issues like cracks or breakage, wear and tear over time, infections at the attachment site, or improper fit causing discomfort or skin problems. Sometimes, the materials degrade or the connection to the body weakens. When a prosthetic fails, it may no longer provide the necessary support or mobility, often requiring repairs, adjustments, or replacement to restore function and comfort.
