Prostate Cancer grading
Prostate cancer grading helps determine how aggressive the cancer is and how quickly it may grow. Doctors use the Gleason score, based on examining cancer cells under a microscope, assigning two numbers from 1 (least aggressive) to 5 (most aggressive). These are added together for a total score between 6 and 10. Lower scores suggest slower-growing cancers, while higher scores indicate more aggressive disease that may need more intensive treatment. Grading provides essential information for deciding the best management approach tailored to each patient's condition.
