Proponents of social constructivism

Proponents of social constructivism believe that much of what we understand about the world—such as knowledge, beliefs, and cultural norms—is created through social interactions and shared agreements. They argue that our perceptions and ideas are shaped by society, language, and culture rather than purely innate or objective facts. This perspective emphasizes that our understanding is constructed collaboratively over time, meaning reality is, in part, built through human relationships and collective meaning-making rather than existing as an absolute, unchangeable truth.
