Propeller Efficiency

Propeller efficiency refers to how effectively a propeller converts the engine’s power into thrust to move a boat or aircraft forward. It’s a ratio, expressed as a percentage, comparing the useful work (thrust) achieved to the energy input from the engine. Higher efficiency means more of the engine's power is used for propulsion, reducing waste and fuel use. Factors affecting efficiency include the propeller’s design, size, angle, and the operating conditions. Optimizing propeller efficiency results in better performance, lower fuel costs, and less wear on the engine.
