Proof of Stake (PoS)

Proof of Stake (PoS) is a method used by blockchain networks to validate transactions and create new blocks. Instead of using energy-intensive computations like in Proof of Work, PoS allows validators to create new blocks based on the number of coins they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. The more coins a user stakes, the higher their chances of being selected to validate transactions. This approach is more energy-efficient and encourages participants to maintain the network's integrity since their investment is at risk if they act dishonestly.
