Prolymphocytic Leukemia
Prolymphocytic leukemia (PLL) is a rare blood cancer characterized by an overproduction of abnormal lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell. In PLL, these abnormal cells grow rapidly in the blood and bone marrow, impairing normal immune function and blood cell production. Symptoms may include enlarged lymph nodes, spleen, fatigue, weight loss, and increased risk of infections. Treatment options often involve chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or other approaches to control the disease. While PLL can be aggressive, early diagnosis and management can improve outcomes.
