Project Stream

Project Stream was an initiative by Google to explore game streaming technology, allowing users to play high-quality video games directly through their web browsers without needing advanced hardware. Using cloud computing, the games run on powerful servers and stream the gameplay to your device in real time, while your inputs are sent back to the server. Launched in 2018, it aimed to improve streaming quality, reduce latency, and make gaming more accessible. The project helped test and develop cloud-based gaming, ultimately informing the launch of Google Stadia.
