Project Natal
Project Natal was a technology development by Microsoft designed to enable video game consoles, like the Xbox 360, to recognize players and interpret their physical movements without requiring traditional controllers. Using advanced sensors and cameras, it could track body motions, gestures, and speech, allowing for more natural and immersive gameplay experiences. Announced in 2009, it aimed to broaden gaming accessibility and provide interactive entertainment beyond conventional controller use. Although initially a concept, it eventually evolved into the Kinect sensor, which was released as an accessory for Xbox consoles.
