Project Chanology

Project Chanology was a series of protests and actions launched by the hacktivist group Anonymous starting in 2008. It aimed to oppose the Church of Scientology, which they accused of suppressing free speech, harassing critics, and engaging in unethical practices. The campaign involved online activities like distributing information and organizing digital protests, as well as offline demonstrations such as protests and banner drops. The movement gained international attention, highlighting issues of censorship, religious freedom, and the power of online activism to challenge prominent organizations.
