Project BioShield
Project BioShield is a U.S. government initiative created in 2004 to prepare for and respond to potential biological and chemical threats, including terrorist attacks and pandemics. It aims to develop and stockpile vaccines, medicines, and other countermeasures to protect public health. The project provides funding and support to pharmaceutical companies and researchers to expedite the research, development, and production of necessary treatments. Essentially, Project BioShield ensures that the country is better equipped to handle health emergencies and protect its citizens from biological threats.
