Project Bamboo
Project Bamboo was an initiative launched by a group of universities aiming to improve digital humanities research. It sought to develop open, shared software tools, standards, and infrastructure that would make it easier for scholars across institutions to access, analyze, and collaborate on cultural and historical data. By fostering interoperability and better resource sharing, Bamboo aimed to enhance scholarly productivity and innovation in the humanities, much like how open-source projects support collaboration in the tech community. The project emphasized community involvement and aimed to create sustainable, adaptable tools for academic research.
