Prohibition Enforcers
Prohibition enforcers were government officials responsible for upholding the laws banning the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcohol during the Prohibition era (1920–1933) in the United States. Their role involved investigating illegal breweries, distilleries, and speakeasies, arresting violators, and trying to prevent alcohol-related crimes. They often faced challenges due to corruption, smuggling, and organized crime. Their efforts aimed to enforce Prohibition laws and maintain public order, but they also highlighted the difficulties of regulating a widespread black market for alcohol during that period.
