Program Increment (PI)

A Program Increment (PI) is a key concept in agile project management, particularly within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). It represents a time-boxed period, usually lasting 8 to 12 weeks, during which teams plan, execute, and deliver a set of features or improvements. At the beginning of a PI, teams align on goals and work together to map out their activities. At the end, they review their progress and gather feedback to inform future work. This structured approach promotes collaboration, adaptability, and continuous delivery of value to customers.
