Processing aids are substances or materials used during manufacturing to help produce a product more efficiently or improve its quality. They assist in processes like molding, shaping, or refining but are not intended to be part of the final product. After use, they are usually removed or remain in insignificant amounts that don’t affect the product's safety or performance. Examples include lubricants, anti-caking agents, or filtration aids, all serving to improve manufacturing performance without becoming a permanent part of the finished item.
