Prismatic effect

The prismatic effect occurs when light passes through a transparent object with angled surfaces, like a glass prism, causing the light to bend or split into its different colors. This bending of light separates white light into a spectrum of colors, creating a rainbow-like appearance. The effect is due to the different wavelengths of light bending by different amounts as they go through the material. It’s commonly seen in optical devices like prisms, glasses, or even water droplets, producing colorful fringes or distortions in vision.
