Thermography is a technique that detects and visualizes heat emitted by objects or living things. It relies on infrared cameras to measure temperature differences on surfaces without contact. This allows for monitoring and diagnosing issues like electrical faults, mechanical problems, or medical conditions by revealing areas of abnormal heat. The principles involve understanding that all objects emit infrared radiation proportional to their temperature, and specialized sensors convert this radiation into images called thermograms.
