Prince Mukarram Jah
Prince Mukarram Jah was the last ruling prince of the princely state of Hyderabad, India, serving as its nominal head after India’s independence in 1947. Born in 1934, he belonged to the Nizams, a royal family known for their wealth and cultural contributions. Although he never had formal governing power, he was recognized as a ceremonial figure and maintained cultural ties to his heritage. After Hyderabad’s integration into India, he lived in various countries, notably in Australia, where he engaged in philanthropic activities and cultural preservation. His life bridged traditions of Indian royalty with modern global influence.
