Priming effect
The priming effect is a psychological phenomenon where exposure to one stimulus influences a person's response to a subsequent, related stimulus without their conscious awareness. For example, if you see the word "bread," you might be faster to recognize the word "butter" later. This happens because the initial stimulus activates related thoughts or memories in your brain, making related information easier to access. The priming effect reveals how our minds are interconnected and how recent experiences can subtly shape our perceptions, judgments, and actions without us realizing it.
