Prime Suspect

A prime suspect is the individual believed most likely to have committed a crime based on available evidence and investigation. It’s the person authorities focus on because their actions, motives, or circumstances suggest a higher probability of involvement. However, being a prime suspect does not mean guilt is proven—just that the person is under serious consideration as the potential perpetrator until further evidence confirms or refutes their involvement.
