Priestly Source
The Priestly Source, often called the "P" document, is one of the main sources scholars believe contributed to the Hebrew Bible. It is characterized by a formal, structured style and a focus on rituals, laws, genealogies, and a sense of divine order. It emphasizes God's role in creation and the importance of priests and religious practices. The Priestly Source is thought to have been written during or after the Babylonian exile (6th century BCE) and helps explain how different traditions and perspectives were woven into the biblical text.
