Pride FC, or Pride Fighting Championships, was a major Japanese mixed martial arts (MMA) organization that operated from 1997 to 2007. It showcased top fighters from around the world competing in a variety of martial arts styles, such as Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling, boxing, and karate. Known for its energetic atmosphere and high-level competition, Pride helped popularize MMA internationally. It featured iconic bouts and fighters like Fedor Emelianenko and Mirko Cro Cop, contributing significantly to the growth and development of modern MMA. In 2007, it was acquired by the UFC, leading to its eventual closure.
