Preterism

Preterism is a Christian interpretive view that sees many of the Bible’s prophecies, especially those in the Book of Revelation and Jesus' eschatological teachings, as having been fulfilled in the first century, particularly around the time of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. It emphasizes that these prophecies pertain to events that have already occurred, rather than future ones. Preterism helps believers understand biblical prophecies as part of historical fulfillment, highlighting God's action in history and the completion of certain divine promises and judgments in the early Christian era.
