Pressure Release

Pressure release refers to the process of reducing built-up pressure within a system, such as a container or geological formation. When pressure increases, it can cause structural stress or trigger natural events like eruptions. Releasing pressure allows the system to stabilize and prevents potential damage or hazards. In engineering, devices like pressure relief valves are used to safely vent excess pressure. In geology, pressure release occurs naturally when underground rocks expand due to erosion or tectonic shifts, easing stress and sometimes leading to phenomena like earthquakes or volcanic activity.
