Pressure Energy
Pressure energy is the energy stored in a fluid (liquid or gas) due to its pressure within a container or system. When a fluid is compressed or held under pressure, it possesses potential energy because of the force exerted by its particles against the walls of its container or within the system. This energy can be transformed into other forms, like kinetic energy, when released. For example, in a pressurized water tank, the pressure energy can drive water flow when valves are opened. Essentially, pressure energy represents the potential of a fluid to do work because of its pressure level.
