Premack Principle
The Premack Principle states that a more preferred activity can be used to reinforce the occurrence of a less preferred activity. In other words, doing something enjoyable can motivate someone to complete a less enjoyable task. For example, a parent might allow a child to play outside (a preferred activity) only after they finish their homework (a less preferred activity). This principle helps shape behavior by linking actions, encouraging people to complete less desirable tasks in exchange for access to more pleasurable activities.
