Prelude FLNG

Prelude FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas) is a large, specialized ship that extracts natural gas from beneath the ocean floor, processes it onboard, and then converts it into liquefied natural gas (LNG) for easier transportation. It operates at sea, eliminating the need for land-based facilities, and can store and offload LNG directly to waiting ships. This technology enables access to distant gas fields, reduces infrastructure costs, and allows for more flexible and efficient gas production in offshore locations.
