Precipitation Process

Precipitation is the process where water vapor in the atmosphere cools and condenses into tiny droplets or ice crystals, forming clouds. When these droplets combine and grow large enough, gravity pulls them downward, resulting in various forms of moisture falling to the ground, such as rain, snow, sleet, or hail. This process is a key part of the Earth's water cycle, helping to redistribute freshwater across the planet. Factors like temperature, humidity, and air currents influence the type and amount of precipitation that reaches the surface.
