Precipitation method
Precipitation is a laboratory technique used to separate a specific substance from a solution by adding a reagent that causes the substance to form a solid, known as a precipitate. When the reagent is mixed with the solution, the target molecule or ion bonds together and becomes insoluble, forming visible particles. These particles can then be collected by filtering or centrifugation, allowing for isolation and further analysis. Precipitation is commonly used in chemistry to purify or identify substances, or to remove unwanted components from a solution.
