Prasat Thmar

Prasat Thmar is a historic temple complex situated in Cambodia, dating back to the 11th century during the Angkor Empire. It features layered stone architecture, intricate carvings, and a central sanctum, reflecting the religious and cultural significance of Hinduism and later Buddhism. Designed as a mountain-like structure, it symbolizes the sacred Mount Meru, considered the axis of the universe in Hindu cosmology.
