Prakrti

Prakrti, in traditional Indian philosophy, refers to the primordial natural state or the unmanifested energy from which the universe originates. It encompasses the fundamental substances and properties that give rise to all matter and phenomena. Think of Prakrti as the underlying, dynamic principle that contains the potential for creation, evolution, and diversity in nature. It is characterized by three qualities or gunas: sattva (balance), rajas (activity), and tamas (inertia). Prakrti is considered the animate and inanimate aspects of nature, constantly interacting and transforming, forming the basis for everything we observe in the universe.
