Prakash Utsav
Prakash Utsav, also known as Guru Purnima, is a festival dedicated to honoring spiritual teachers and mentors. Celebrated primarily in India and Nepal, it occurs on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Ashadha. The festival emphasizes gratitude and respect towards gurus—those who guide us in spiritual, educational, or personal growth. Traditionally, devotees offer prayers, flowers, and thanks to their teachers, acknowledging their role in shaping character and knowledge. It also commemorates the birth anniversary of Guru Vyasa, the legendary sage credited with compiling the Mahabharata.
