Prairie Fires

Prairie fires are wildfires that occur on grasslands known as prairies, which are vast areas dominated by grasses and few trees. They are a natural part of prairie ecosystems, helping to recycle nutrients, control invasive species, and promote new plant growth. These fires often spread quickly due to dry conditions and strong winds, but the native grasses and plants are adapted to survive or quickly recover from them.
