PPR (Polska Partia Robotnicza)
Polska Partia Robotnicza (PPR), or the Polish Workers' Party, was a communist political organization established in Poland in 1942. It aimed to build a socialist state by advocating for workers’ rights, nationalization of industries, and aligning with Soviet interests. PPR played a significant role in post-World War II Poland, helping to establish a communist government under Soviet influence. It functioned as the ruling party until 1948, when it merged into the broader Polish United Workers’ Party. The PPR was central to Poland’s transition toward socialism, shaping the country's political and social landscape during the post-war period.
