Powerchair Football
Powerchair Football is an adaptive sport played by individuals with limited mobility who utilize electric-powered wheelchairs. The game is similar to traditional football (soccer), involving teams of four players who use specially designed, battery-powered wheelchairs to maneuver a standard-sized ball and score goals. Played indoors on a rectangular pitch, it promotes teamwork, skill, and physical activity, while adhering to rules adapted to accommodate participants’ mobility needs. The sport fosters inclusivity and can be both recreational and competitive, offering an engaging way for players to develop coordination, strategic thinking, and community connection.
