Power Africa
Power Africa is a United States government initiative aimed at increasing access to electricity across sub-Saharan Africa. Launched in 2013, it seeks to promote economic growth and improve living standards by supporting renewable energy projects, reforming energy policies, and building partnerships with governments, private sector companies, and organizations. The initiative aims to add more than 30,000 megawatts of electricity generation capacity, providing millions of people with reliable power, which is essential for development, business, and education. By fostering investment and innovation in the energy sector, Power Africa contributes to sustainable development across the region.
