Pottery manufacturing

Pottery manufacturing involves shaping clay into desired forms, then drying and firing it at high temperatures to harden and strengthen the final piece. The process begins with preparing clay, which is kneaded and shaped by hand or on a wheel. Once molded, the pottery is dried to remove moisture, then fired in a kiln, a special oven that heats the pieces to around 1,000°C (1,832°F). Sometimes, glazes are applied after the first firing, then the piece is fired again to create a glossy, durable surface. This craftsmanship combines artistry and technical skill to produce functional or decorative ceramics.
