Potawatomi

The Potawatomi are a Native American people belonging to the Algonquian language family. Historically, they inhabited regions around the Great Lakes, including parts of present-day Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Illinois. They are known for their rich cultural traditions, craftsmanship, and strong community bonds. Today, many Potawatomi live in Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Michigan, often practicing their heritage through language revitalization, ceremonies, and preserving their history.
