Post-workerism
Post-workerism is a social and political perspective that moves beyond traditional ideas of work and labor as central to identity and society. It critiques the focus on workers’ rights and conditions as the primary way to address social issues, suggesting that with technological advances, automation, and changing economies, the importance of paid work is diminishing. Instead, it emphasizes new forms of social participation, community, and shared resources, questioning the relevance of a work-centered life and seeking ways to create meaningful engagement outside of conventional employment.
