Post-Processed Kinematic (PPK)

Post-Processed Kinematic (PPK) is a technique used in surveying and GPS data collection to improve position accuracy. It involves recording raw satellite signals during fieldwork and then analyzing and correcting this data afterward using a fixed, well-known reference point. This process reduces errors caused by atmospheric conditions, satellite errors, or signal multipath. The result is highly precise location information, often within centimeters. PPK is particularly useful in applications like mapping, construction, and infrastructure monitoring, providing detailed positional data after the fact without the need for real-time corrections.
