Positive train control

Positive Train Control (PTC) is an advanced safety system designed to prevent train accidents by automatically monitoring train movements and controlling operations when necessary. It uses GPS, wireless communication, and computer technology to track train locations, speeds, and track status in real-time. If a train is at risk of speeding, approaching a stop signal, or violating safety limits, the system can automatically slow down or stop the train to prevent accidents like derailments or collisions.
