Pope Gregory VI (also known as Gregory I)

Pope Gregory VI, also known as Gregory I, served as the Pope from 1045 to 1046. He is known for his brief papacy during a tense period of church reform and political conflict. His election was controversial because of allegations of misconduct, but he sought to restore moral integrity to the papacy. His time as pope was short and marked by efforts to stabilize church leadership and address corruption.
