Pontifical Council for Social Communications

The Pontifical Council for Social Communications was a department within the Vatican responsible for guiding the Catholic Church’s use of media and technology, such as radio, television, and the internet. Its goal was to promote ethical communication, support faith-based content, and foster dialogue through various forms of mass media. Established to help the Church engage effectively with modern communication tools, it worked to ensure that information spread aligns with Church values. In 2016, it was incorporated into the Dicastery for Communication, continuing its mission within a broader organizational structure.
