Ponseti method

The Ponseti method is a non-surgical treatment for clubfoot, a condition where a baby's foot turns inward and downward. It involves gently stretching and gradually repositioning the foot using specialized casts applied to hold the foot in the correct position. Usually, multiple casts are changed weekly over several weeks. After the final cast, a small procedure called Achilles tenotomy may be performed to lengthen the heel cord, followed by the use of braces to maintain proper foot alignment. This method is effective, minimally invasive, and aims to correct the deformity early in life to allow normal movement and growth.
