Polyneices
Polyneices was a legendary figure from Greek mythology, known as one of the sons of King Oedipus of Thebes. After their father's death, he and his brother Eteocles fought over who should rule Thebes. Polyneices led an army against the city, seeking power, but was ultimately wounded and defeated by his brother. Despite this, he became a symbol of rebellion and tragic conflict, often representing the destructive consequences of family disputes and hubris. His story is central to the tragedy "Seven Against Thebes," illustrating themes of loyalty, pride, and the cost of ambition.
