Polyhedra
A polyhedron is a three-dimensional shape made up of flat surfaces called faces, which are polygons (multi-sided shapes). These faces are connected along their edges to form a solid object. The edges are the lines where two faces meet, and the vertices are the points where multiple edges converge. Examples include cubes, pyramids, and dodecahedrons. Polyhedra can have various numbers of faces, edges, and vertices, and they are studied in geometry for their structural properties and symmetry. They are fundamental in understanding the shapes and structures found in both nature and human-made objects.
