Polish Jewry

Polish Jewry refers to the Jewish community in Poland, historically one of the largest and most vibrant in Europe. From the Middle Ages through the 20th century, Polish Jews contributed significantly to cultural, religious, and economic life. Despite periods of acceptance, they faced anti-Semitic laws, social discrimination, and violence, culminating in the Holocaust during World War II, which decimated the community. Today, Polish Jewry continues through descendants, cultural revival, and Jewish organizations, fostering remembrance and renewal of Jewish heritage within Poland.
